The following interactive map shows the Chinese investments in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) from 2013 to December 2020 in different sectors. In this time, China invested about USD 770 billion in the 138 countries of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that had signed MoUs with China to work together under the BRI.

The most important industries that receive BRI investments are
- energy (about 39%)
- transport (about 25%)
- real estate (about 10%)
- metals (about 8%).
The regions that receive most BRI investments between 2013 and 2020 are:
- East Asia with 27%
- West Asia with 22%
- Sub-Saharan Africa with 21%
- Arab and Middle East with 14%
The share of BRI investments in different regions has changed over time.
